When you arrive, you will stroll from the parking lot through a jungle of native Cayman trees, plants, and flowers flourishing in the tropical environment. Look carefully, you never know what you might see! Wild iguanas, chickens, frogs, snakes and hermit crabs are just some of the jungle trails inhabitants. You will come face to face with some of the most beautiful birds in the world. Mingle with, talk and hold one or two of our beautiful parrots and cockatoos.
Your stroll takes you wandering through the gift shop with unique Grand Cayman souvenirs. When you poke out the other side, our family of 6 beautiful bottlenose dolphins appear before your eyes in their natural saltwater lagoon. You will be filled with emotion as you view these amazing marine mammals at play in their natural habitat.
Our three dolphin programs offered at Dolphin Cove, Grand Cayman, cater to all ages and requirements. Read on further to find a program that suits your needs.
During each program, you will have a personal photographer, taking photos and videos of your entire experience, available for purchase after your program. This allows you to leave your cameras tucked safely in your bag, and you get to make the most of every minute with your dolphin.
Before your program, you will have an informative orientation with one of our trainers, where they will give you some information, designed to help you once in the water as well as talking about the beautiful dolphins we have in the lagoon. They will be happy to answer any questions or concerns you might have.
This program is specifically designed for young children, non-swimmers and those keen to get an up close encounter with a dolphin. Guests stand waist high in the water and interact with the dolphins. You will get to touch, kiss, dance, sing and learn all sorts of fascinating facts about your dolphin. The dolphins will also perform some high energy behaviors guaranteed to thrill and delight. No minimum age – however for safety reasons, young children must be accompanied by one adult per child. (Children under 11 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Children 4 years of age and under must be accompanied by 1 adult PER CHILD. Children 4 years of age and above, maximum of 2 children per adult .)
You will receive a life vest before getting into the deep water, where guests will get to interact, touch, kiss and enjoy an up close experience. You will get a thrill out of our famous belly rides, where you ride belly to belly with one of our amazing dolphins. At the end of your program, see your dolphins fly high in the air with their spectacular jumps. Minimum age 5 years or older and must be strong swimmers– however for safety reasons, young children must be accompanied by an adult. (Children under 11 years of age must be accompanied an adult).
This is our most popular program! After receiving a life vest, you get to interact with two dolphins while swimming in the deep. Enjoy a kiss from your new friend then experience the Dorsal Tow (2 dolphins pull you into the platform while you are holding onto their dorsal fins). Feel the thrill and excitement of the sea rushing you by with the Foot Push (2 dolphins push you across the surface of the water, feel like superman – experience the adrenaline).
It’s our most preferred program and requires the greatest advance booking. Minimum age of the Ultimate Swim Program is 8 years old. (Children under 11 years of age must be accompanied an adult).
